Xisco:“It’s key that El Alcoraz stick with us, we can’t give up now”

SD Huesca manager hopes to secure a valuable victory over UD Las Palmas thanks to the support of our fans

Counting on the support of our fans since the first minute can be key for SD Huesca to beat UD Las Palmas tomorrow. That’s what Xisco Muñoz told us in the pre-match press conference. The manager pointed out that we need to continue finding great support from our crowd, like in the last home games, as it has turned out to be decisive. “The secret at El Alcoraz has always been that one. In the last encounter, against Lugo, our crowd almost sucked the ball into the net by cheering, chanting and enjoying every moment. We need that tomorrow again,he assured.

“I’d love to be in tune with our supporters tomorrow, I’d appreciate that we all bore the difficulty of our objective in mind. Their push and help are vital for us. We’ve secured six points out of a possible six at home. We can record a third successive home win, and we’ll fight for it,” added the Majorcan.

He also talked about the last match, in Ibiza, where “the team lacked of something,” but he is confident not to make the same mistakes again this Saturday. “The team can perform better and give more. We need to impose ourselves on the game. However, we’re optimistic about the chances we have. We play against a direct rival, with top-class players, but it’ll be a great match and we’ll work and be brave from the very beginning,” said Xisco.

“It's not a final – a final is when there’s nothing afterwards. Personally, I’ll live it as if it were, though. We must be aware that this clash is crucial and we have to be bold. I like this type of situations. That’s why I’m here,” he concluded.
