Xisco: “We want to give the Alcoraz crowd the game they deserve”

SD Huesca manager would like to extend the good run at home this Saturday against Real Sporting

One of Xisco’s biggest goals is to record four months unbeaten at home. To do so, his side will have to win the two encounters that are left this season, starting by our game against Real Sporting Gijón this Saturday. “We’re encouraged, excited as always. We want to continue growing, being strong at home. We want to give something back to our people,” said the Majorcan ahead of his side's clash. “We also want to go out there proudly, strong and with spirit, securing all three points.”

“We need to finish well at home and claim a solid and important league win for our fans, as they deserve, just as they have helped us when we’ve needed it,” he underlined.

SD Huesca receive a rival with a new manager at the helm, as Abelardo will make his debut this weekend, which makes it harder to prepare the game. “This is a team that has been LaLiga SmartBank leaders for several months, so they have quality players. It’ll be a tough hard-fought showpiece.”

“We need to understand that we must be ready and focused on all proceedings. They’ll be dying to win, but I’d like to see us dying more to win,” he added. “We need to enter the pitch to make it happen – to set an example, and we’ve let the boys know,” he concluded.
