Xisco: “We need to play with our heart. We can’t save ourselves”

The manager points out the importance of beating UD Ibiza this Saturday (16:00 GMT+1) in order to underpin the momentum and boost the team’s confidence

Concentrated and determined to pick up all three points. That’s how Xisco says he feels about the trip to Ibiza, as the team are aware of how important a victory over UD Ibiza would be in order to boost the morale in such a crucial moment. “I think that we need to play with our heart – giving our all and bearing in mind all the people who are behind us. If we’re able to claim these three points, El Alcoraz will erupt next week. We can’t save ourselves for later on,” highlighted the Azulgranas’ boss about the possibility to build momentum at Can Misses.

“I think we’ll see a massive game. We’re two lively sides, as Ibiza are the team that score the most since Paco arrived, and we’re the second one since we’ve played with a three-man defence. I think it’ll be an entertaining clash. We have to be brave and try to enjoy, taking into account its importance,” said the Majorcan about how he envisages the encounter. “Right now, we’re in good form, but we must continue to grow. It’s a tough visit, but we have to give our all to come back home happier than ever.”

Seoane and Escriche are both unavailable for Can Misses due to the one-match suspensions they must serve. However, Xisco assured that it is not what he is more concerned about. “The good thing is that we can switch to different systems, as we have a big squad that can adapt to one scenario or another. Both Seo and Dani are important, but I’m sure that the players that come out this time will put in a good performance,” he added.

SD Huesca manager insisted on the team’s evolution, strengthened especially after the last couple of wins at El Alcoraz and backed up by the home crowd, which Xisco labelled “spectacular,” and who will be present in Ibiza as well. He also said that he will not pay special attention to the rest of the stadiums. “We’re focused on claiming all three points ourselves and that’s all we wish. If we get results, we’ll be better off. It all hangs on picking up these three points,” concluded the manager.
