SD Huesca travelled to Can Misses for the first time, but our debut there did not have the expected end. The Azulgranas left empty-handed from there, after a competitive clash, with levelled statistics for both sides, but where UD Ibiza were more accurate in the key moment of the encounter – in the dying stages, fifteen minutes from time, with both teams devoted to secure all three points. The Oscenses are stopped in the island their hot streak, after two wins and one draw, but have in mind El Alcoraz already to fight for their aspirations. The game did not begin well for Xisco’s men, as the hosts took an early lead in the 3rd. After a cross from the wing, Goldar found the back of Andrés Fernández’s net, scoring the opener. SD Huesca needed to raw upstream once again since the very beginning, but this time, the reaction came immediately. Just four minutes later, Joaquín made it 1-1, thanks to a ball from Gerard Valentín that VAR checked to endorse.

The match went back to its starting point only ten minutes after it had started, and both sides competed one on one, as they were aware of the value of the three points at stake. This way, the two of them wanted to dominate proceedings, and every attack saw a counterattack towards the other goal. Pablo Martínez hit the woodwork, following one of the biggest efforts of the Oscenses in the first half, together with a shot from Juan Carlos after an individual play by Joaquín on the right wing. Poveda could not control the rebound either. UD Ibiza hit the bar before the interval as well, following a strike by Herrera.

The second 45 saw a similar plan in terms of possession and even number of attempts. Paco Jémez’s men proved themselves to be dangerous in the opening exchanges after the break, and Huesca’s reaction found the crossbar once again, as Marc Mateu crossed the ball for Juan Carlos, who smashed his header into the bar.

Ibiza were luckier, and took the lead again by means of Herrera, after he was assisted in the far post with only fifteen minutes remaining. During those minutes, the visitors played more with their hearts than with their heads, striving to find an equaliser they would eventually be unable to find despite Poveda’s perseverance, who enjoyed the best chances in the stoppage time.
