Sociedad Deportiva Huesca were not able to earn any points once again in El Alcoraz against CD Leganés, this time in matchday 15 of LaLiga SmartBank. The Azulgranas ended pointless and suffered a serious blow due to goals from Randelovic and Borja Garcés in the second half (0-2). After the first 45 minutes, where we could see a hard-working home side with a hard-rock defence, the away team imposed themselves on the game in a second half where they were better. Miranda de Ebro, next stop for Xisco’s side.
The first half was even, as Huesca’s defence remained solid and dominant in the midfield. Ignasi Miquel opened fire for the hosts by curling in a cross from Ferreiro that ended in the arms of Riesgo. Our no.7, continuing his excellent form, produced moments of danger from set-pieces. After the half-hour mark came our best move in the first half. A long ball from Mosquera was headed towards the goalby Florian Miguel, but the goalkeeper managed to foil it.
In the second half none of the teams changed the way they played, while SD Huesca tried hard but were not actually able to create a number of chances: Although Escriche shot on the turn and soon after that Ratiu took a long-range strike, the goal didn’t come. With substitutes Gaich and Seoane the team tried to gain offensive presence. However, it was then when Randelovic struck a blow for visiting sides, by finishing off a lovely move with a top-quality strike that hit the post before crossing the line. Following the goal, the Altoaragoneses went up a gear searching for the equaliser. Ferreiro hit the side-netting in the 76th before the clearest chance in the 79th, when Gaich curled the ball to our no.7, who gave it back to him with a low shot. The Argentinian went close to score the equaliser… The Azulgranas’ hopes of securing a creditable draw were dashed seven minutes before the 90th, when Garcés scored again for CD Leganés.
