S. ROMÁN & NWAKALI VISIT GENUINE BEFORE THEY GET BACK IN COMPETITION

The first-team players joined the training session of the Genuine team in Pirámide before the latter get back into LaLiga Genuine Santander, November 12th-14th in Tarragona

LaLiga Genuine is back. After a long time awaiting and missing the magic and values of the first league in the world made of people with intellectual disabilities, created by LaLiga Foundation, the stars of this unique project will reunite in Tarragona from November 12th to 14th.

SD Huesca Genuine, whose boss is David Abardía, will be coordinated and supervised from Cadis Huesca, Coordinator of the Associations of People with Disabilities in Huesca. The squad practised this Thursday in Pirámide before getting off to Tarragona, and enjoyed the special visit of two first-team players: Miguel San Román and Kelechi Nwakali. They all had a good time together on the pitch, asking and answering questions, took a group picture and were given some surprise gifts. Besides, they performed a traditional haka dance together with LaLiga Genuine anthem.

The aim of all this is to get excited and emotional again, to enjoy the most genuine football once again and to feel the passion of a league where we all win and in which the most important thing is sharing rather competing. That is the common feeling of all those who take part in this wonderful project: players, coaching staff, families and fans. All of them will be able to reunite in a weekend full of surprises, by complying with the relevant health standards set by the Organisation. After having been called off due to COVID-19 back in March 2020, it is time to relive the spirit that has characterised LaLiga Genuine Santander from its beginning.

The 36 competing teams of the season 2019/20 will be in Tarragona, where the 3 winners will be determined: the sporting champions of the Team Spirit and Sportsmanship groups and the Fair Play champion.

Next Friday November 12th, the home team, Gimnàstic de Tarragona, will hold the opening ceremony at 8 p.m. (GMT+1), where the Genuine family will live a more than expected reunion.

On Saturday and Sunday, the teams will play their corresponding games in Complex Esportiu Salou. At 1:30 p.m. (GMT+1) the Mini Estadi of the Complex Esportiu Salou will hold the closing ceremony of the season 2019/20, where the winners of the most expected season of LaLiga Genuine Santander will be announced.
