THE REACTION CAME IN ANDUVA

The Oscenses taste victory again against CD Mirandés (0-1), with a goal by Marc Mateu

The triumph was SD Huesca’s one and only plan in Anduva. Three points for calm, confidence and support to a more than clear evolution. The victory came in front of 400 Azulgrana fans. The first one with Xisco on the bench, meant to be the turning point for the team.

Pulido was really close to put the icing on the cake to the fantastic start of the Azulgranas – wearing non-traditional colours this time, but the brand new 21-22 away kit. Our captain headed over the crossbar a free-kick taken from the wing by Ferreiro, before the ten-minute mark. It was the most dangerous chance while SD Huesca were dominating in Anduva, by means of the fluidity of our play from the wings before facing the goalkeeper. And this is how Xisco’s side grew into the game, having more and more attempts, such as an effort from Gaich saved by Lizoaín, or a shot by Seoane that smashed onto the keeper’s post, around the half-hour mark.

However, as it usually happens in these cases, SD Huesca suffered because of our lack of accuracy, and CD Mirandés were denied more than once only by an outstretched Andrés Fernández before the half time. The clash was goalless until then.

CD Mirandés came out for the second half in search of a breakthrough, and Xisco did not take long to make the substitutions, bringing on Mikel Rico and Juan Carlos Real. Gaich was about to score the opener, but the keeper cleared the ball with his foot. Right after that, the Argentine became the provider for the opener, by controlling the ball with his chest and crossing it into the box for Marc Mateu.

With 0-1 ahead, the intensity of the game grew, despite the Azulgranas unsuccessful attempts to lower it. Mirandés even had a clear chance, with a ball that touched the goal line. However, SD Huesca were able to come back home with the three points and having enjoyed our fans’ support during the whole encounter.
