XISCO: “THE WORKING WEEK HAS BEEN BRUTAL”

SD Huesca boss highlights how the team have improved before travelling to Miranda and applauds the fans’ response, who will be very present in Anduva

Every word from Xisco’s pre-Mirandés press conference: “I’m very happy with the boys,” he started saying. “This working week has been brutal. We have been able to do new things and get to know each other better. We’ve reached a very good level and that is the right path since this is what the competition demands from us.

Important advances have been achieved in the implementation of the manager’s road map. “Little by little. I think that the most important thing is to carry on making progress, everything has a process,” he stated. “We’ve brought a bit more joy into our attacking play. We need to offer more so that we can win games.”

“I don’t measure the results right now. We could have three more points, or maybe just one. I appreciate the fact that we are assimilating the defensive discipline. We still need to be more aggressive in the last metres. We have a lot still to work on, but that’s no excuse to try and be composed in Miranda,” he added.

The Majorcan also mentioned the club’s initiative and the fans’ response to accompany the team in Anduva. “We have to thank not only the club for all the effort they have put in but also those supporters, who know that we need them. That’s vital for us. It has to be an amazing starting point. We need to go to Miranda to compete and offer attractive things for our people.”

The boss mentioned the advantages of the rival: “It’s a very organised team in defence and I believe that we have the talent to offer something else in the attack. Our strikers will do good things. The most valuable thing in this clash will be to have the ball and try to play in the rival’s half. They are a good team, who create a number of chances and score goals,” he concluded.
