Samuel Obeng arrives in Huesca to boost our attacking ranks

The striker will spend the second half of the campaign on loan from Real Oviedo

Samuel Obeng (Nsapor, Ghana, 1997) will wear the SD Huesca colours for the remainder of the 2022/23 season, adding strength to our attacking resources. He joins Cuco Ziganda’s side on loan, and knows the boss very well, as they worked together back at Real Oviedo. He will contribute with his strength, acceleration and competitiveness.

It was exactly during Ziganda’s caretaker stewardship last year when the striker’s performance got the most brilliant, scoring eight goals in 34 appearances (28 of them from the start.) Obeng joined Oviedo in 2019 for their Youth team, but he soon progressed into the senior side, which would arrive the following year. Before that, the quality of his performances in teams such as Calahorra or Granollers led him to make his debut in a better competition.

He was named in the Ghana U-23 squad five times, scoring two goals for his national team.

It is a player to look to the future, who hopes to keep improving his numbers at El Alcoraz, boosting the Altoaragoneses’ attacking ranks in the second part of the 2022/23 season.

Welcome Samuel!
