Ziganda: “We have the chance to go a step forward”
“Bearing in mind how much we struggle away from home, we have to increase the level of our performance and the exigence we impose on ourselves,” said the manager
‘Cuco’ Ziganda held a press conference on Friday to preview the club’s match against Sporting Gijon, as the Azulgranas take on a new rival away from home this weekend and try to change their domestic dynamics by taking a step forward. The boss told us: “We have one more test ahead of us to get a result and make an enormous leap in terms of vibes, points and the table.”
He admitted that “the domestic matches this season have become a struggle.” However, “bearing in mind how much we struggle away from home, we have to increase the level of our performances and the exigence we impose on ourselves, as we are lacking some details to save those games.”
He expects a “motivated rival, who are trying to continue putting together important results after the arrival of the new boss.” “Their crowd always push them, they’ve got young footballers who have played in their under teams. Every game at El Molinon is always challenging and motivating.”
And finally, Ziganda concluded: “Anyway, I hope that we’re able to build on our strengths and decisively tackle our weaknesses. A victory is always the best way to boost the morale and mood.”
