Carlos Gutierrez joins SD Huesca

The Canarian centre-back will follow Antonio Hidalgo’s command until the end of this season

Carlos Gutiérrez (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 1991), has joined SD Huesca. The experienced centre-back will play for the Azulgranas until the end of this season. He arrives having been out of contract at Nagasaki, a team in the Japanese league, although he has more than a hundred appearances in his career in Spanish football, playing for teams like CD Numancia or CD Leganes.

Gutierrez played for Numancia in Soria for three and a half seasons, having signed for the team in the 16/17 season. Before that, he had been on loan from Las Palmas Youth team to Leganes and Burgos. After establishing himself in the category with a total of 105 appearances and having scored five goals, he sought new sporting challenges, moving to Japan in 2020. There, he defended de colours of teams such as Avispa Fukuoka, Tochigi, Machida Zelvia and Nagasaki, the latter being his last team before his return to Spain.

El Alcoraz awaits him in this new challenge. The player will soon get to know his new stadium after undergoing a medical examination this Friday and joining Antonio Hidalgo’s team in Saturday’s training at the Base Aragonesa de Futbol.
