A. Hidalgo: “We must get the three points out of everything depending on El Alcoraz”

The Azulgranas’ coach spoke ahead of the visit of AD Alcorcon, hoping that the stadium would be filled on Saturday to support his team against a direct rival

Antonio Hidalgo knows that this Saturday’s match is very important and everything that happens at El Alcoraz “must give us all three points.” That’s why he hopes the stadium will be filled this weekend to support his team against a direct rival, such as AD Alcorcon. “The objective revolves around our home matches, and especially against direct rivals, we need to secure the victories with three points," he stated in the press conference ahead of matchday 25.

Facing them is an opponent on the rise. “It’s a team with good numbers since their coach changed, aggressive, intense and very competitive. Besides, they concede few goals, and the results are going their way. We’ll need maximum concentration and push hard on the ball,” he said.

Hidalgo would like the need for points to translate into "hunger and ambition, more than pressure." That’s why he emphasised this message to his players. "We are professionals and we know that we have to pick up three points. We’ve managed to turn the situation around, and we are close to getting out of it. We need to wish for it, be brave and bold, and go get more."

Having the support of the fans is crucial for this. “They have to feel their importance and the need to have them close and pushing us when we need it. I believe the fans are aware of the situation, and since I’ve been here, they have always supported us.”

Finally, with these principles, he is confident in achieving the objective. “We will try to achieve it before the last match. That is our ambition, knowing that the situation is challenging. We have to manage it, be strong, and overcome all the moments.”
