Ziganda: We want El Alcoraz to become a fortress again
The boss is confident to dedicate their first win to the fans and hopes to feel again that good vibe around us at home
The Azulgranas play at home again this weekend with the aim of turning El Alcoraz into a fortress again, starting from this Sunday against CD Mirandes, a side with “very physical quality players,” to whom the Oscenses will put up a fight, according to Ziganda ahead of his side’s clash.
“Mirandes keep the same idea and method as years ago. They’ve got very young physical players for open games,” said the coach. Aiming at improving in front of their crowd, the Azulgranas expect to be solid and compact, “turning El Alcoraz into a fortress, just as last year, make the rivals uncomfortable, let them know that winning isn’t easy.”
To do so, Ziganda knows the way. “Being solid in defence, we need to go a step further in attack. We’ve got players to hurt the rival and be more precise.” And he added: “We’re struggling to find the net, but we’ve had our chances. The most important thing is that we have our chances to win, are willing to finish off and know the way to do so. I bet we’ve got the players for that and we’ll end this poor run because we have to win games.”
In the last game of mercato, the boss is focused on the players he has got at the moment: “Our players today will have to move forward to get results, we’ll have to work hard every day. If someone joins us to make us better, we’ll be pleased, but our squad is balanced and our players canreach a very good level,” he concluded.
