Ziganda: We would like to see off the league happily

We would like to put in a good performance, as we have not in the last two home games. We would love to give that to our fans and let everyone know that El Alcoraz is a fortress, said the manager ahead of the last match of the season

“There's always something at stake. With this match, we’d like to see off the league happily, to give that to our fans so that they see us as a serious side that plays compactly giving our all. We’d like to see off this season feeling hopeful for the next one, and letting everyone know that El Alcoraz is a fortress.” Ziganda has got numerous arguments to motivate his side’s clash tomorrow against Eibar. The team would like to see off the fans “happily.”

The boss is aware that the last home games have not been up to scratch, so he will try to make amends: “We can boost this end of the season and prove that we can win two successive games against a top-quality opposition who are still competing in the league.” When asked about them, ‘Cuco’ told us: “It’s clear that they’ve performed very well in LaLiga this season, now they’re fighting for a play-off promotion position. I expect a tough game against quality players that can make the most of any error of ours. In terms of exigence and rival, I expect a maximum level.”

Furthermore, Ziganda talked about his own men’s objectives in these terms: “We achieved the lower goal, but were unable to succeed in the higher one. Anyway, the position on the table and our pride are both important. No one despises anything, we know our rival and we wouldn’t like to suffer – we’ll be the best version of ourselves.”

Finally, to take stock of the results of this season, the boss knows perfectly where the room for improvement is, but would like to keep the positive features of his side in order to boost them during the next campaign.
