The squad are willing to play again after so long, and even more at El Alcoraz. SD Huesca manager, Cuco Ziganda, said so ahead of the first match against of the calendar year against Albacete Balompié. “We’ve had many days to rest and train, so we can’t wait to go on competition mode. The good thing is that all players are fit, since these days have let them all recover.”

In order to start 2023, Albacete Balompié arrive at El Alcoraz. It’s a side that “are producing an excellent performance this campaign.” “Their level of both the game and results perfectly match. They were promoted last season and have maintained momentum, added strength to their resources and the coach manages it all very well. It’s one of the teams that are there according to their own merits,” states Ziganda.

However, the Oscenses will have their crowd behind them. “I guess the fans wanted to relate with their team – we fight, we give our all and never give up, even if there’s always room to improve. We need to be able to adequately repay such attendance, help, spirits…. It’s no coincidence that we get better results at home than away; the player can feel it, it’s always a boost.

The Azulgranas go back to El Alcoraz and hope to continue putting together important results at home thanks to our supporters. “It’s true that we feel better, but the second part of the season is always tougher, as there’s a lot to go, many points at stake and all the teams are sharper and fight harder. On our part, I expect an exciting second part of the season,” concluded the boss.
