Xisco: “This is a hard time but we’re strong and willing to improve”

SD Huesca manager stated that all the team are ready to offer a different version from the previous match

SD Huesca will play home this Friday against Burgos (kick-off 21:00 GMT+1), and the goal is more than clear: to claim all three points and leave the encounter against Alcorcón behind. The squad have worked hard during the week, not only on the pitch but also by analysing the mistakes made, and are convinced to be able to find a turning point at El Alcoraz. “This is a hard time, we wouldn’t like to be here. Tomorrow we need a strong start to the game to make our crowd happy again. When we make mistakes, we need to find a solution. Last week we made a serious one, but tomorrow we have the chance to change this situation,” said Xisco Muñoz, the Azulgrana manager, during SD Huesca’s pre-match press conference.

“We would all like to be in a better place. And I understand and accept that our fans are disgruntled. We are SD Huesca, and we always have to go out there to win and provide a better image than we did the other day. We accept our fault, but all we can do is work hard,” added SD Huesca’s boss.

Xisco Muñoz finds that the team are mature enough to leave behind the errors made last Sunday, and to go on the pitch with the aim of winning over Burgos. He also insisted on the sacrifice and efforts to be made to revert the situation. “In the hard times, we need to put the best version of ourselves out. It’s hard to come up to scratch, as we are emotionally tense. However, we’ll try and offer a good performance in the first minutes to hook our fans and re-enthuse them, as it’s something no one should miss.”

The Majorcan told us about the rival on Friday: Burgos CF. “It’s a side that close lines very efficiently. They can make good transitions and revert their formation. We’ll have to move our game to the sides, due to their ability to steal the ball inside. It’ll be a tough game – they’re good, and play well not in defence as well as in attack,” he concluded.
