Only two days after the match against SD Amorebieta, the Azulgranas depart for Ponferrada to play matchday 14 of LaLiga SmartBank. Having had little time to rest, the new manager analysed how the team face such an intense week. “There is no need to be an alarmist, but it’s obvious that there are some situations that we have to improve. We’ve continued working these days, moreover with video, since we haven’t had much time to do it on the pitch. This is part of learning – we can get good things by working and being together. We all have to bring the team forward so that we turn around this situation,he said.

When asked about the rival, he explained: “in LaLiga Smartbank all the teams are strong, we’ll need to give 200% and make the team evolve. It will be a tough match but we’ll do our thing by being ourselves and trying to claim all the three points, no matter our rival.”

Despite the complicated situation, Xisco is confident. “I’ve decided to come here because I believe in the players and I see the mistakes. The more we get wrong now the more we’ll move forward. This is a battling team and that’s exactly what we have to do – it’s time that we put our shoulders to the wheel.” And he added: “This is definitely not our level, there are things to improve and we will because we can do it.”

Having had little time to work on the physical condition, the psychological aspect needs to be addressed: “We have to understand the process. A new manager usually arrives when there is a problem, and finding solutions always takes time, it’s a process. We all have to work hard and be humble to do our best. I’m sure we’ll manage.” Muñoz concluded: “All football griefs with football are less, so tomorrow we have another chance to prove that we can do it.”
