Xisco: “It’s key for us to stick together as a whole tomorrow”

SD Huesca manager demands intensity from the very first minute. “Each and everyone in the stadium must be convinced that we can do it”

Xisco Muñoz spoke to reporters ahead of SD Huesca’s home LaLiga SmartBank match against CD Lugo, and we could tell he is satisfied as well as ambitious. He guarantees that his players are in a very good moment. “We’re growing – We’re finding the team we want. Although we make mistakes, we are mature and humble enough to mend them. The team are improving,” said the Majorcan, who made use of the press conference to highlight the importance of “unity,” not only ahead of tomorrow’s encounter but also those to come.

“I’ll never tire of asking our fans to support us. I hope they’ll help us tomorrow. We need everyone. Hopefully, all the fans in the stadium tomorrow will be convinced that we are going to rise up the table. We’d like to feel it since the moment we enter the pitch,” declared the boss several times.

The Azulgrana manager appealed to the “character and strength” shown by his team in Oviedo, yet aware of the poor start to the game by his side that can’t be repeated again. “I truly appreciate the team’s reaction, union and sacrifice. I want them to feel confident, but I still need to be hard on them, as this will lead us to be happy. The squad are ready not to repeat such an ominous half an hour, to impose themselves on the game and fight for the triumph from the first minute to the very last one,he added.

In order to win, the Oscenses will have to beat CD Lugo, who are now unbeaten in twelve matches. “Such a winning run proves that they’re doing a great job,” assured Xisco, praising Lugo’s qualities. “They’re persevering from minute one to the last one and read the game very well. I like what I see in the teams taken over by their manager, Rubén. They always stand out where this competition requires you to do it.”
