After two defeats, SD Huesca is aiming for a win in the Anxo Carro in Lugo. Nacho Ambriz discussed this in the press conference before the trip to Galicia. He admitted that the two defeats were unacceptable, but he said the mood was good and the team was working well and looking forward to recovering their form. "The players are more optimistic than I had expected. They are disappointed by their level of play, because we made serious mistakes that lost us crucial points. I'm not too happy with this, because we aren't as good as we were when we started the league. But we weren't that good then, and we're not that bad now. We just have to pinpoint the mistakes we've been making", the trainer said.
"We're lacking concentration at some moments. We can't play at the same pace when we recover the ball as when we are in possession. But we're working on it, and that's where we have to concentrate our efforts. We're also doing very well in other areas, but this no use if the results aren't good. But I'm learning and detecting these hitches and we're going out to fight and play a great match", he added.
Ambriz also spoke about Lugo: "The truth is that they have a good technique and play very well. But their manager is working with his team to win, and so am I. The team has to go out to play, we won't permit three consecutive defeats" he said. "Their structure is good. They know what they're playing, they have a dangerous counter-attack and a centre forward who plays very well. But we have to think about ourselves, always respecting our opponents, but we're out to win".
With Jorge Pulido banned from playing, Ignasi Miquel will take his place. "He's an experienced player and has played many matches at this level. We've worked hard, and he's skilled at this, so he'll adapt quickly", Ambriz pointed out.
"I wasn't surprised at how competitive this league is, as I have heard all about it. If you relax just a bit, you pay for it. It is a long league, and we won't see huge results. I'm sure about that, and the people around me are helping me to deal with it, "he concluded.
