El Alcoraz saw a new victory for the hosts, as SD Huesca found a way to win again. Marc Mateu scored a stunning direct free-kick to open the scoring and secure three more points for the Altoaragoneses, before the Copa del Rey break. Time for Carrillo and Gerard Valentín to recover, who were forced off with injury in the first 45.

SD Huesca took the lead in the early stages, but paying a high price, since Cuco Ziganda was forced to replace an injured Gerard Valentín for Soko after just six minutes. The winger had been the most dangerous man for the Oscenses, having enjoyed several chances until that moment. Then, the danger for the hosts came from the left wing when Kento found a good pass through the lines to combine with Marc Mateu in a one-on-one position, only for the keeper to deny him. However, after 21 minutes gone, our no.21 took a direct free-kick, curling the ball over Villarreal B's wall and past the goalie to find the net and put the hosts ahead. Carrillo suffered an injury, but stayed on to help the Azulgranas until the break.

Villarreal B scored, but the assistant-referee flagged for offside and it was ruled out. As the minutes went by, Cuco's side played more in the opposition half, but the visitors showed their quality every time they approached the box. In the 64th, an outstreched Andrés pulled off a wonderful save to deny a header from the Yellow second team, which was extremely close to mean a 1-1. As the contest ticked on and with time running out, the Azulgranas pushed hard to make the most of the goal, and although both teams had their chances, they were unable to score in the second half. SD Huesca had dug deep to record this 1-0 victory over Villarreal B at El Alcoraz, and that's the reason why the crowd appreciated the efforts after the final whistle.
