The Azulgranas travel to Malaga in the first round of the Copa del Rey. An “exciting” game in which the Oscenses will try to compete at their finest to book their place in round two, as the boss told us in his press conference on Friday to preview the club’s match against Juventud Torremolinos.

“We’re excited about this game, as it gives us the opportunity to get away of LaLiga, think of something else and give minutes to other players who have been participating less, but who train well and deserve it, too. We'll try to make the most of it and produce a good performance,” stated Cuco.

And he added: “We all know what football is like, and we need to accept that there's never room for all the squad. They're ready to play our games. Many of our players rarely play not because they don't deserve it but just because there's no room for more than 11.” Besides, Ziganda praised the competition's organisation: “These are very emotional games for everyone. The Cup has nuances that reduce the difference among all categories.”

“The Copa del Rey enjoys a great atmosphere, it's a single match, so if you don’t take advantage of your chances, anything can happen and it can get really even, so I expect a tough clash where we'll have to be very careful if we want to qualify for the next round,” concluded Cuco.
