El Alcoraz celebrates the first win

Goals from Kevin Carlos, Marc Mateu and Kanté seal the first victory (3-0) of the campaign

El Alcoraz claimed victory for the first time this season. The squad and the crowd enjoyed this first triumph over UD Ibiza. This evening there was no final blow and the three points were secured since the first half. In fact, the third goal came very close to the stoppage time, in the 86th, and the fans cheered and clapped their team off the pitch.

‘Cuco’ Ziganda made three alterations to the Azulgranas team that had played the previous game: Academy players Tomeo and Kevin Carlos, together with debutant Jeremy Blasco. His new line-up couldn’t have gotten off to a better start. First game from the beginning for Kevin Carlos in LaLiga SmartBank and first goal for his tally, as he found the net to put the Oscenses ahead for the first time this campaign. After 15 minutes, the forward headed past the keeper after an inch-perfect cross from Kento. Marc Mateu, the MVP of the evening, proved to be very active with several crosses from the wing. Before the half-time, Kevin Carlos, Florian Miguel with a header or even Escriche could have netted the second.

Following the interval, UD Ibiza fought for a leveller, but after 10 minutes ‘Cuco’ Ziganda made a triple substitution, bringing on Kanté, Juan Carlos Real and Gerard Valentín. This time, the action-reaction principle worked out perfectly, thanks to Marc Mateu, who stepped up to crash his penalty home in front of El Alcoraz crowd to make it 2-0. With half an hour remaining, the Altoaragoneses slowed the pace down, forcing Ibiza to make the strongest of efforts. However, Kanté’s terrific finish first time into the top corner meant Huesca returned to winning ways. The icing on the cake for a perfect Sunday at El Alcoraz.
