With little time to recover, the Azulgranas are already preparing next fixture, against Villarreal B, at El Alcoraz. The boss is aware that the visitors will take the game to his side, as he told us during the press conference held on Friday to preview the club’s LaLiga SmartBank matchday 15.

“Their competition is absolutely fantastic, they look comfortable in this category, and I know what it feels like to play with a second team in LaLiga SmartBank,” expressed Ziganda about the rival. And he added: “They’re quick, energetic and they know how to dominate their rival. They’re working really hard, giving a good image not only in attack but also in defence and they feel a good vibe around them. That’s why I envisage an even clash – they have fresh legs. They’re not the typical second team.”

When asked about the opposition’s style, he answered: “They’re really versatile, they don’t always play the same way. Sometimes, they like enjoying possession; but sometimes they also close lines and wait as long as they need for the killer move. Hence, their position in the table.”

However, the Oscenses are playing at home, where they’ve become stronger thanks to the fans, and where they’d like to avenge last game against Ponferradina. “It was a painful defeat, and that’s the mentality – we need to feel like playing to make amends. We haven’t had so many days to think about it, and that’s the good part, stated the boss.

Cuco trusts his players, their commitment and solidarity, and hopes to produce a good performance tomorrow. “We always try to get the best out of every player. They’re not all the same, but we work for them to show their best form at El Alcoraz. We have a versatile squad, so that presents many alternatives,he concluded.
