“A victory is always a boost for the morale, it gives you momentum, but we’ve had little time to enjoy – we have our mind on tomorrow’s game,” told us the boss after the clash against Oviedo and ahead of Racing’s visit.

With two matches just two days apart, there’s little time to prepare the next one, so Ziganda focuses on having his players recovered to take on a rival in a very good dynamic: “Racing are very dangerous, they’ve been getting results lately. They’re rock-solid in defence and have quality players up top. Plus, they’re enjoying a good dynamic and have gained confidence thanks to results,” he added.

Asked about his expectations on the fixture, he exposed: “we’ll see how it goes and who feels more comfortable. If we are to take initiative, we have our resources, we also train for that.” In order to achieve his ambitions, Cuco fully trusts his players: “I’m glad with everyone’s involvement, not only those who start but also the substitutes. We can see a team, and not who is playing more or less. They’re all 100% committed.”

The manager wanted to send a message to the fans, too: “I’m aware that tomorrow is the supporters clubs’ day, and our people will come willing to enjoy and back us up. We’ll definitely try and produce a good performance, and hopefully we do things right and end the day with a victory. We all want to feel proud,” he concluded.
