A couple of days before matchday 4, SD Huesca and ‘Cuco’ Ziganda envisage the clash against UD Ibiza as a chance to reflect all the work done since the beginning of the season and after two disappointing defeats: “We have a very weird feeling. The way we were beaten by Cartagena and Albacete… it’s as if our work had not borne fruit,” he admitted. However, SD Huesca manager has told us that every weekend there’s a new opportunity to make things right, and that there’s no time to think about the previous games: “We have to be aware that each match is different and every rival has different qualities. We need to get things right to gain confidence and grow,” he added.
The islanders have the same points as the Altoaragoneses in the league. This Sunday, El Alcoraz awaits UD Ibiza, a side we were unable to beat in neither of our encounters last campaign: “They put in an outstanding performance last week. They usually combine well, enjoy long possessions and have several new signings, as well as a new coach. We should make them feel uncomfortable,” said Ziganda.
Transfer deadline day is complete, and the boss is pleased with his men: “The squad is complete, with several players for each position. From now on, we must be united, work and get results – we shouldn’t look back.” Besides, ‘Cuco’ has also pointed out that there are many talented players with a lot of potential: “My job is to get the best out of my players.” To conclude, he has made clear his side’s philosophy: “We’d like to put together a run of results, we’ve been very close to do it, but only details have prevented us from reaching our goal. Anyway, in football we don’t need to find excuses – we need to win,” he stated.
