Cuco Ziganda: “It’s time to show our personality”

“Earning points in Burgos would be extremely important. It’s the last game of 2022 and then we’d go on holidays with a different vibe. Plus it’d be away from home”

SD Huesca face the last game of the year away from home and would like to make the most of it to show our personality and go to the Christmas break giving a good image. Ziganda held a press conference on Friday to preview the club’s LaLiga SmartBank match against Burgos CF. “This week hasn’t been easy, but we’d like to turn the tables and finish the year with a positive result. We need to get up and show our personality.”

Ziganda admitted that the defeat to Zaragoza hurt them “because of the result, but also the way it went.” “I saw a better team, but last day we stepped back, so we have to get momentum, make the most of our qualities and show our best competitive form this Sunday.”

To do so, he expects to “produce a good performance,” although he is aware that it will not be easy. “Burgos has had a hot streak, but we’ll try and pick up the points, aware of how hard it is for us to get a result far from El Alcoraz.” And he added: “They’ve had a mesmerising year and we all know their strengths. They minimise the opposition, concede very little, defend very well and take advantage of their quality up top. We’ll have to pay a lot of attention and focused.”

“Earning points in Burgos would be extremely important. It’s the last game of 2022 and then we’d go on holidays with a different vibe. Plus it’d be away from home,” he concluded.
