Ziganda: We would like to be as reliable at home as last campaign

The boss, hopeful and motivated for the first home game, wishes to delight our fans

The time to open the season at El Alcoraz has come. The Azulgranas will make their home debut in the so-called Liga Hypermotion next Monday at 9:30 p.m. Ziganda is hopeful and motivated for his side’s game, he has got all his players available and wishes to do things well: “This is our home opening and we would like to put in a good performance to get a result. That is the most important thing. We are excited about this first home game,” he told us ahead of his side’s clash against Tenerife.

Regarding the rival, as it usually happens in this category, it will be a tough even clash. “They’ve got a new manager, but keep most of the players. Therefore, they combine the quality of their squad together with a serious coach, which makes them a very comprehensive team.”

As far as the home team is concerned, Ziganda hopes to “keep doing the good things we saw in Burgos and improve in those fields we didn’t excel at.” And he added: “I believe we can perform better in general so that we are able to have more chances to win. We’d like to maintain our good ideas and enhance them to be as reliable at home as the last campaign.”

The issues to be addressed are clear: “We need to cover more distance in attack as well as remain solid in certain moments. We’ll see how the match goes and try to improve as we go. Anyway, we always prepare our games to win.” In this sense, playing at home is key, and the boss will work so that El Alcoraz is the fortress it was last year. “We’d like to delight all the fans who come see us at the stadium, dedicate them our victory and share our happiness with them.”
