A. Hidalgo: “It's an important moment and we are mentally prepared”

The coach spoke in the press room of the Aragonese Football Base before hosting SD Amorebieta, aware of the difficulty of the match, but with full confidence in his team

The Azulgranas face another ‘direct rival’ this Sunday, hosting SD Amorebieta at El Alcoraz. "We are eager and excited," said the coach in the press conference ahead of matchday 27. “The rival has improved a lot with the change of coach. We will have to be very careful and focused, bearing in mind that we have to give our all. It's an important moment for the team and the city,” said Antonio Hidalgo. And he added: “they are playing great matches and putting pressure on any opponent. They believe in Jandro's work; he has given them another boost and they have more options, but we also have our strengths. We are excited and eager."

Seeing themselves another week out of relegation, the coach states that the most important thing is “to focus on yourself and on making enough points. It’s obvious that we are all keeping an eye on teams in the zone, but it is key to increase the distance. To do so, I see committed players, who are hungry and powerful, too. We are feeling strong at El Alcoraz with our people, so have to boost that.”

And it is at El Alcoraz where the coach knows that they have to give their best, recalling the last match, against AD Alcorcón, when the victory was achieved in the 93rd. “I tell the players about that madness, that ecstasy that comes from desiring something and achieving it. And that end of the match was the clearest example – both fans and team are feeling it at the same time. That feeling of madness is beautiful because it gives you power."

And he finally concluded: We all have a lot at stake, no one wants to fall behind, and that’s why we have to stay calm, go out with the hunger to get three points, but with order.”
