In a slightly shorter week than usual, the Azulgranas are gearing up for another away encounter, this time at RCD Espanyol’s stadium. With the confidence that victories bring, Antonio Hidalgo is clear that nothing has been achieved yet. “Victories give us confidence in work, but the competition doesn’t stop and our situation remains urgent, we’re only two points above,” stated the coach ahead of matchday 29.
Actually, the upcoming clash is a tough test. “We have to compete to our maximum against one of the most powerful rivals in the category. We have to endure a lot tomorrow, as it will be a highly demanding match. They have a lot of quality in the final third. Each opponent is different, proposes different things, and our adaptation is key,” stated the coach.
With good numbers away from home, the Oscenses will try to maintain them in a challenging stadium. “They are a team formed to promote, with a great atmosphere in their stadium, and they come with morale after a victory, so we have to know how to manage time, how to endure and understand that they will hurt us.”
But Hidalgo’s men will not be alone, as nearly 600 fans will be behind them from the stands. “We are delighted to have them by our side – their support feels close. They should come ready to suffer because suffering makes you enjoy afterwards.” And he took the opportunity to “deeply thank those who were in Anduva, those brave souls who, despite the bad weather and the day it was, were with us – we could feel them.”
With that morale, they visit the Stage Front Stadium tomorrow, and Hidalgo maintains his message so that his players do not decrease their intensity and concentration. “Our reality is that the urgency remains, and we have to continue pushing our heads to the limit to get through this.
