Ziganda: We can't relax, we have to extend this run

We struggled to win our first game and, although this victory does not mean anything, it does give our hopes up to keep on working, stated the boss ahead of the Azulgranas clash against Real Sporting

Ziganda values the away victory las weekend but is aware that there is still a lot to go. Their next chance to improve will be this Sunday at El Alcoraz. “We’re willing to win at home, but we have to do things better to succeed,” he told us.

The fans will be key to do so. “I hope we can be one, that they can cheer us up in the good and the bad moments, that we are able to suffer and to edge the rival.” And he added: “I’m sure that we’ll be able to enjoy that amazing atmosphere at home and feel how our crowd are behind us. That’s the advantage of playing home.”

Regarding the rival, he stated that Sporting are “doing things right and thinking calmly, they’ve strengthened their squad by adding powerful defenders. They have barely conceded. They’ve got individual quality as well as team potential.

Therefore, he concluded, “it’s important to bounce back as soon as possible, we can’t cut down on intensity and concentration. We still have a lot to build but are hopeful with these players and this group, but in terms of results we’re not where we are.”
