The streets of Huesca were transformed into a sea of pink again

The 8th 'Huesca contra el cáncer' race, organised by Fundación Alcoraz, was a success. More than 4,000 Oscenses took part to raise vital funds for life-saving cancer research and hope

Huesca was awash with pink on Sunday in a new edition of “Huesca contra el cáncer.” Organised by Fundación Alcoraz, this 8th edition was a huge success thanks to the thousands of participants who demonstrated their support to the Spanish Association against Cancer.

The starting point and the finish line for these 4,000 pink-clad runners was Navarra square. The route, suitable for all ages, was around the city centre, aiming at giving visibility to the fight against cancer.

Carlos Sanmartín was the first man to cross the finish line, followed by Alberto García and Alejandro Olivares. Among the female participants, it was Isabel Laguarta, just before Laura Gañán and Lourdes Montanga.

From Fundación Alcoraz, we’d like to thank the 4,000 runners, as well as the 50 volunteers and all contributions for ‘Dorsal 0’. A special thanks to Huesca City Council, too, the sponsors of the event, who provided us with provisions to hand out at the finish line to make it the greatest of all parties. A perfect ending for a must-have appointment in every calendar in Huesca.

Thanks for making one more success of this edition!
