JAPAN TRUSTS SD HUESCA AGAIN

A group of young Japanese players will stay in Huesca for two months, within the international sports program organised by SD Huesca and Fundación Alcoraz together with Wakatake Group

SD Huesca and Fundación Alcoraz, together with Wakatake Group, are continuing their international sports programme that blends young Japanese kids, football and Spanish and Aragon culture. Once again, a group of Japanese boys born between 2004 and 2011 are already living a unique experience in Huesca. During the next two months, they will be involved in sports and cultural activities, from organised training sessions with the different SD Huesca under teams, guided tours in Huesca city and its province and recreation activities to, of course, doing their homework online.

Their first point of contact with SD Huesca was in El Alcoraz, following a visit to the stadium and a big surprise: the presence of our captain Jorge Pulido and the keeper Andrés Fernández. The boys were given the opportunity to talk to them and take some pictures with the two members of our first team. “This kind of experiences are highly appreciated in Japan, not only due to the football level they can reach but also because of the personal development acquired after going to a country where you do not understand the language and the culture is so different from yours. This is something that makes them grow,” relates David Rosales, responsible for international projects in Wakatake Group.

In the morning, the kids will exercise technique, and it will be coordinated by different coaches who take part of the structure of the Fundación Alcoraz. In the afternoon, they will train with the reserve of young players of SD Huesca and will also engage the aforementioned cultural activities. They are, in some way, ambassadors of Japan to Spain. In the future, they will be able to do it other way around, too – they will become representatives of the Spanish culture and idiosyncrasy in Japan. “SD Huesca work well and take care of the details – Japanese culture is also based on that. It is our intention to increase the number of kids coming in the future, when the football school facilities in Huesca (Base Aragonesa de Fútbol) become operational and many more of them can come here to train and learn from a club in LaLiga,” adds Rosales.
