Cuco Ziganda: “Tomorrow’s game will be tough”

“Andorra is a different team, they enjoy ball possession and play very well – that's why they’re up in the table, where they deserve. It’s been a spectacular year for them,” states the manager

Only three days after the clash at Ipurua, the Azulgranas come back home to take on Andorra. We’ve had little time and we need to change our mindset, jump into conclusions and think of the good things we did as well as correct the negative ones. We already have our mind on Andorra,” explained Cuco.

About the rival, he said:“It’s a different side, I expect a tough game. They have a great coach and play very well, with their own style. It’s a team who enjoy ball possession and play very well – that’s why they’re up in the table, where they deserve, it’s been a spectacular year for them,” states the manager. And he added: “No team wins them the ball back – it’s in their style. I think we’re more and more decisive, but I believe this encounter is something different because of their style.

The Oscenses are coming back to El Alcoraz, where they have been unbeaten for eight games. However, the boss is aware of tomorrow’s litmus test: “We’ve struggled in the recent games, we’ve improved but we are finding it hard to get a result. Anyway, if we don’t win, it’s not worth it. Our performances are better, I can see it in many different aspects, but obviously we need to win,” he expressed.

Although we’ve got some poor results lately, Cuco Ziganda feels satisfied with his squad and their progression. “We’re going through a poor run of form away and it’s true that the results matter, but I see a progression, and I know that’s going to make us stronger. We’re playing more and more the football we want,” he concluded.
