Ziganda travels to Santander aiming at improving against a side that has taken off very well
The Azulgranas visit Santander trying to see if the feeling is better and to produce a performance at El Sardinero. Aware of the fact that “this has just begun and there’s still a long way to go,” Ziganda is self-critical and commits to working hard in order to get better.
“We have to be able to exercise a little self-criticism and know where to improve. The strength of our side used to come from our rock-solid defence, so we need to get that back. From there we will be able to do other things on the ball. We’ve got new players of a different profile who will help us in this sense. Anyway, we’ll have to start by the first part.” By analysing that, he added: “We’ve questioned everything, we’d like to be relentless but not stubborn – the players have to feel comfortable with what they do and we need to adapt to that.”
The next chance will be this Monday in Santander, against aside that “has taken off very well.” Regarding the upcoming rival, Real Racing Club, the boss told us: “their first home game was magnificent for them, they felt really confident – you couldn’t tell it was their opening match. They’ve kept their squad and coach, they’ve got young players who are going a step further.”
