Just three days after the Copa del Rey clash, the team meet Real Valladolid next Friday in El Alcoraz. It will be an important match for the Azulganas, who have “the chance to demonstrate the good job the team are doing,” said Xisco to reporters ahead of the encounter.
“The team we’ll face is very powerful, they’re strong, effective and have very good strikers. When you play against them, it’s usually hard to keep a clean sheet, but we have to step forward and continue working along the same lines,” added SD Huesca manager about the rival.
“We’ll earn more points if we do things right, and if we keep on doing them as we have in the last matches, we’ll be closer,” admitted the Majorcan, who appreciates the fans’ support, who will be behind the team once again tomorrow. “We need our supporters and they know it, I’m very happy because I see that they are willing to cheer on us. They push us, I’m pleasantly surprised for good at the fans here. I hope we’ll be accurate in the final metres because the team and our people deserve it,” he stated.
And he added “I don’t see anyone anxious. I could feel it at the beginning, above all during the first match, but now I see people working together in the same direction. They are aware that they are essential for us, and it is key that, being patient and enjoying, they are happy when they leave the stadium, that they have our backs when we need it and that they are demanding when we deserve it. They’ve seen that things have improved; we need to continue this way.”
Xisco can tell what the team have to improve, and he declares that it is exactly what his job is about. “We need to keep on creating chances and make the most of them, since we’re already defend with accuracy. Inaccuracy in attack is penalising us, so we must be more effective; we’re working on that. It’s everyone’s task, we all defend and we all attack – we need to attack better and continue to defend as well as we have so far,” he concluded.
