Pablo Martínez (Madrid, 1998) has today joined Sociedad Deportiva Huesca, becoming our second signing in the 2021/22 winter transfer window. The midfielder comes to Huesca from UD Levante on a season-long loan deal. Being an attacking midfielder, the Madrilenian has been deployed as a versatile player with good positional play to cover, as he can play in different attacking positions, so he will add strength to the Azulgranas’ up top resources.
Martínez is a player with huge experience not only in LaLiga Santander but also in LaLiga SmartBank, having made 15 league and cup appearances for UD Levante. He spent last season on loan for CD Mirandés, which was a key step for his career, as he reached a very good level. He became a regular selection for José Antonio López, and his appearances increased to 38, proving to be one of the best players in the competition.
Our new signing began his youth career at AD Alcorcón, where he made his first-team debut in LaLiga SmartBank against CD Tenerife in 2017/2018. Then he switched to UD San Sebastián de los Reyes in Segunda División B, from where he signed for UD Levante second team, making his LaLiga Santander debut with the first-division side at the age of only 21.
Pablo Martínez arrives in Huesca willing to make more appearances and improve his qualities. We welcome Pablo to El Alcoraz and cannot wait to see him in action in a Huesca shirt as we aim to see the new alternatives he brings to Xisco’s side. Welcome, Pablo!
