The Azulgranas hoped to find a turning point in Pucela after two succesive defeats, but conceding a goal in the early minutes proved to be too much of a burden for the team. Despite their efforts to regain possession and push forward, they struggled to create clear-cut chances, ultimately leading to their third successive defeat.
Valladolid took the lead before the ten-minute mark with a header from Meseguer, scattering Huesca's aspirations. However, the Oscenses continued to press forward, with Gerard Valentin making dangerous runs into the opposition's half. They managed to maintain possession but lacked real threat in the final third. The hosts conceded some possession to Hidalgo's men, but their quality was remarkable whenever they approached Alvaro Fernandez's box. Despite this, the Huesca defence showed resilience to minimise their advantage and create chances on the opposite end. Vilarrasa attempted to find the net with a direct free-kick that sailed over the crossbar, marking the clearest opportunity for SD Huesca before halftime.
The second half started with a strong run from Gerard Valentin, really close to be met by Obeng inside the box, marking the clearest warning from their team. Unfortunately, SD Huesca paid a high price for that attack as Valentin got injured during the run, forcing him to be replaced by Rafa Tresaco. From then on, the team sought the speed and energy of Tresaco, trying to approach Valladolid's area more directly. Hidalgo shook things up by bringing on Hugo Vallejo and Joaquin when his team was struggling creatively, replacing Elady and Javi Mier. In a classic action-reaction move, Obeng was close to converting Tresaco's cross after a fine individual effort where Joaquin had provided the advantage. Bolivar and Kortajarena were Hidalgo's final substitutions for Juanjo Nieto and Kento. This aimed to inject a more offensive profile, especially as Valladolid seemed to be finde with their 1-0 lead. In the end, it worked out for them and Huesca were unable to get any points.
