Cuco Ziganda: “We’ll be competitive against any rival”

“There are plenty of aspects we need to improve, but I’m convinced that we can beat Granada – it wouldn’t be a miracle,” stated the boss

The Azulgranas are taking on the south-coast side on Sunday, an away game “that will be tough and will make us get things right to get a result,” assured SD Huesca manager.

Beyond budgets and the place in the table, Cuco Ziganda prefers to focus on “what SD Huesca is going to do and how we can be dangerous.” “You think of the preparation ahead of the clash and of how your squad is. You analyse your opponent not considering that they’ve just been relegated. You have to face them, you can’t think it over. Budget is not all, every game in this competition is very tight,he added.

‘Cuco’ is determined that it’s a hard visit, yet not impossible. “Granada are particularly strong at home. They’re solid, confident, direct and have quality players. They’ve got men who make the difference in every line. They have their own style of play.”

When asked about his squad, Ziganda expressed: “We must put down a lot of work off the ball to defend them. On the ball, we must prove our strengths. We’ve found it harder in our matches away, but we’ll be competitive against any rival.”

Besides, the Oscenses rely on the confidence of their previous results. “You work with more confidence after having sealed the three points. There are plenty of aspects we need to improve, but I’m convinced that we can beat Granada – it wouldn’t be a miracle,” he concluded.
