BUFFARINI: “MY DREAM WAS TO PLAY IN EUROPE”

The Argentinian looked excited in his presentation at El Alcoraz. "I have no doubt that it will go well"

Like a dream fulfilled. This is how Buffarini addressed his signing for SD Huesca. "One of my dreams was playing in Europe. I hope I can be up to the task and adapt as quickly as possible. When you are content and happy somewhere, I have no doubt that it will go well,” said the Argentine full-back at his first press conference as an Azulgrana, held this Tuesday in El Alcoraz.

Buffarini spoke of how his signing came about, deciding against other offers in Argentina and other leagues: “I had been talking to Huesca for a long time, even in the first division. A club that projects a good image, the feeling that things are going to go well. Besides the insistence, feeling loved somewhere leads you to make the decision.”

The full-back arrived in Huesca on Saturday and was placed under the command of Nacho Ambriz, participating from the outset in the friendly that the team played in Tudela. ”I was actually very surprised by the intensity and precision with which he trains. I was talking to my teammates, and they told me that the second division is highly demanding, with a more dynamic, more direct style of play… I hope to adapt as quickly as possible. My teammates gave me a very warm welcome. The little I have got to know them, I see a very good group of people. And that's the basis for meeting the objective,” said the Argentine on his first impressions of the team and the new coach. ”I love the coach's ideas, to be intense, to go out playing, to take the game to them…”

Commitment was something that the player highlighted the most in defining himself. "Every time I come out onto the pitch, I try to do as best as possible, to give it everything, down to the last move. I try to bring my experience, hierarchy, to inspire my teammates, the crowd…” he said.

Buffarini will share a position with Andrei Ratiu, with “healthy competition.” Having competition is what helps you raise the level of the team and personally. It is a challenge. We must all be at 100%, because that means that we are demanding the utmost of ourselves and calling the coach into question. That is the case in any position," said the Argentinian

I demand responsibility and rigour from myself, it is how I live football, whether playing or training, in any team… the responsibility to grow and go for more. That gives me peace of mind. I'm passionate about football, and I take care of myself on that basis. I am always demanding of myself, and we are ready for it,” he concluded.
