Andrei Ratiu already knows what it means to wear the shirt of SD Huesca, as he debuted in the team's friendly against Tudelano, just three days after joining the Azulgranas. And he also knows El Alcoraz, where he was presented to the media on Monday, accompanied by the club's CEO, Manolo Torres.

"I want to thank Huesca for its trust. I decided on Huesca because it offered me a very nice sporting project,” said the full-back.

The player arrived in the capital of the region on Thursday, and he assessed his first feelings based on this: “My teammates have given me a very warm welcome and I have got to know Huesca a little. Now I only hope to settle as soon as possible." “The coach talks to us a lot and tries to explain his idea. I think we are going to adapt very well to his style.”

“I hope to give my best individually. Restore trust, be at the top and take Huesca to where it deserves to be,” stated the player regarding his targets in this new challenge. “Huesca must be in the first division as soon as possible. People are excited about competing again and doing well.”

Ratiu arrives at El Alcoraz after eleven years at Villarreal, in his first experience outside the yellows: “It has been a hard decision, because it was many years there. I needed to make a leap and I thank Huesca for giving me the chance to do so,” he said. "I have just played in the Olympic Games, so I am already switched on. But I still hope to adapt as soon as possible and get up to speed.”

The right-back position will be occupied by the Romanian international together with Buffarini. "We are both going to try to connect as soon as possible. It will be a fight for the position, but always in healthy competition. We are both united for the same purpose.”
