Few afternoons as perfect as this are remembered at El Alcoraz, with a shining 3-0 final score and a devoted crowd. SD Huesca remain strong and show no sign of easing off the gas pedal. Nine undefeated clashes, eight without conceding, and the momentum continues. This time, they did it against a Burgos CF side that arrived in Huesca in playoff positions but had no chance against Antonio Hidalgo's men, who won, enjoyed, and made others enjoy.
El Alcoraz crowd had fun from the start, as fans were still settling into their seats when Hugo Vallejo gave the first warning, after Gerard Valentin crossed to the striker's head, which hit a defender. The Azulgranas made their intentions clear on the field, and it took them only ten minutes to reflect it on the scoreboard as well. First, a free kick into the box by Vilarrasa, which the defence managed to clear to a corner, and from the corner, also taken by our no.20, the Huesca captain headed in to make it 1-0. Pulido scored his first goal of the season, giving his team a valuable lead. Hidalgo's side knew how to play with it, allowing Burgos to approach their territory but cutting off any attempt before it became dangerous. Javi Martinez tested the keeper with a powerful shot after 20 minutes. Kento also sought the second goal with a header after the half-hour mark, but it went over the bar.
The break did not change the script, and SD Huesca regained possession easily, quickly creating danger at the other end. And so, after pressing and linking several attacks, Elady added one more to his personal tally to double the advantage. A powerful shot from Gerard outside the box was parried by the goalkeeper, falling to the forward, who did not miss, scoring his third goal with the Azulgrana shirt, the second in a row at El Alcoraz. Burgos then threatened to cut the deficit with two corner actions that came close, but Huesca held on during these moments of increased pressure from the visitors. With ten minutes to go, Kortajarena found the net the 86th, converting a ball from the right. Euphoria erupted in the stadium, where the crowd ended up singing the anthem a cappella before heading into stoppage time. Because everything was happiness after the final whistle: forty points on the scoreboard, ten encounters to go and the visit to Albacete to come.
